This website is run by Phil Henry, a children's author based in Ashford, Kent. The site address is philhenry.co.uk. When we say "we" or "us" in this policy, that's who we mean.


What information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us:

  • Newsletter sign-up - your email address (and first name if you provide it)
  • Contact form - your name, email address, and your message
  • School visit enquiry - your name, school, email, phone number, and details of your request
  • Gated downloads - your email address when you download a free resource

We do not collect payment information, track you across other websites, or use advertising cookies.


Why we collect it

  • To send you newsletters and updates you've asked for
  • To reply to your messages and enquiries
  • To arrange school visits
  • To provide free downloadable resources

We process your data on the basis of your consent (you opted in) or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.


Who sees your data

Your information is kept private. We may share data only with trusted services that help us run the site:

  • Email delivery - we use a transactional email service to send newsletters and confirmations

  • Contact and school enquiries - for up to 12 months, then deleted
  • Download emails - kept with your newsletter subscription; removed if you unsubscribe

  • See what data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Unsubscribe from emails at any time
  • Withdraw your consent

Children's privacy

This site is aimed at parents, teachers, and caregivers rather than children directly. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it straight away.

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a revised date. For significant changes, we'll let newsletter subscribers know by email.
