Keepers of the Realm

My partner and I have seven children between us. Viv’s three and my youngest all had our first holiday together in the New Forest. We went camping. We had fun during the days and visited most of the places mentioned in the book. In the evenings we played UNO, had lots of laughs, and listened to lots of Callum’s farts!

We mostly had barbeques for dinner. One night Sarah and I cooked and to help pass the time and we came up with the basic outline of the story. When I got home, I started writing it. It became my first chapter book for children aged 8-12.

It’s a fun, fantasy adventure about four children being who have been given the ability to travel into a different realm. It has taken me a while to write this as it is my first chapter book, and there have been many things I had to learn along the way.

Since then, we’ve had a few more holidays and now these will be turned into the next four books in the series.
